Ex-Met Cop Accused of Assault and Failing to Declare Shisha Lounge Ties

A former Metropolitan Police officer is facing serious allegations after allegedly assaulting a member of the public while off-duty at a trendy East London venue.

Ex-PC Yaseen Mukith is accused of attacking a man at the Tamak Lounge, where he is also said to have held a business interest — one he reportedly failed to declare to his bosses at the Met, breaching strict force rules.

To make matters worse, Mukith, who was listed as a director of the lounge, is alleged to have ignored a planning enforcement notice ordering the venue to stop operating as a shisha bar. Authorities say the lounge continued to flout planning laws long after the deadline passed.

The alleged breaches span assault, failure to disclose a business interest under police regulations, and planning offences under the Town and Country Planning Act.
