PC John Adamson faces allegations he thrust a golf club between a woman’s legs during a night out at Putt Shack.
A Metropolitan Police officer is accused of appalling behaviour after allegedly using a golf club to assault a woman during a night out.
The incident is said to have happened on 3 October 2021 at the Putt Shack venue in Lakeside Shopping Centre.
According to the allegations, PC John Adamson approached the complainant from behind while inside the bar. He is accused of placing a golf club between her legs before swinging it upwards.
The movement allegedly caused the club to make contact with the woman’s vagina.
The officer is facing misconduct proceedings on the grounds of Discreditable Conduct. The allegation suggests his actions, if proven, were wholly inappropriate, degrading and likely to bring policing into disrepute.
Under police standards of professional behaviour, officers must act with integrity and respect both on and off duty. They are also required to uphold public confidence in the service.
