Chief Inspector Kevin Weeden Accused Of Pursuing Junior Female Officer Under His Command And Continuing Contact After Being Told To Stop

Metropolitan Police Chief Inspector Kevin Weeden is alleged to have abused his position to pursue a sexual and emotional relationship with a junior female colleague before continuing to send her unwanted communications after she asked him to stop.

A senior Metropolitan Police officer is facing a public misconduct hearing over allegations he pursued a junior female officer who worked under his supervision and then continued contacting her despite being told to stop.

Chief Inspector Kevin Weeden, of the Met’s MO6 Public Order Planning Command Unit, is accused of abusing his position for a sexual purpose in relation to the officer between August 2024 and February 2025.

According to a misconduct notice published by the force, Chief Inspector Weeden allegedly pursued a sexual and emotional relationship with the junior colleague, engaged in inappropriate communications and failed to properly declare or manage the relationship despite her being under his supervision.

The notice further alleges that Chief Inspector Weeden continued to contact the officer between November 2024 and February 2026, sending persistent and unwanted communications even after being asked to stop.

The allegations are being treated as potential gross misconduct and, if proven, could result in his dismissal from the Metropolitan Police.

Chief Inspector Weeden is alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Discreditable Conduct, Authority, Respect and Courtesy, Orders and Instructions, Equality and Diversity, and Duties and Responsibilities.
