PC Eliot McDermott

On 29 June 2020, it is alleged that Former PC McDermott damaged an address in Buntingford, Hertfordshire whilst turning his car around in a driveway. The vehicle collided with the side of the property causing significant damage to the structure before leaving the scene. Former PC McDermott then returned to the scene after emergency services had arrived, and asked an officer what happened. When asked if he had seen what happened or been involved, former PC McDermott denied any involvement. Later that evening the former officer attended a local police station and explained his involvement in the incident, admitting to being the driver.

PC Shaun Mandale

PC Shaun Mandale will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:

Discreditable Conduct, in that PC Mandale behaved in a manner which discredits the police service and / or undermines public confidence in it.
The conduct as alleged, if found proved, would amount to Gross Misconduct.

The allegations are as follows:

PC Mandale attended a plea hearing on 21 October 2022 at Carlisle Crown Court and upon his own confession, was convicted upon indictment of six charges of making and possessing indecent and prohibited images of children and possession of extreme pornographic images
The hearing will take place at 1pm on 24 November, both virtually and in public on Microsoft Teams.

PC Duane Williams

The breach alleged is in relation to former PC Williams being recently convicted at Newport Magistrates Court for an offence of common assault.

PC Mohammad Ghalayini

On 18 November 2021 PC Ghalayini appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court to answer the following charges:

On 12 November 2020 at Tottenham Police Station, stole cash to the value of £80 belonging to the Metropolitan Police Service contrary to section 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968.
Between 12 November 2020 and 13 November 2020, with intent to pervert the course of public justice, did an act, namely induced a person to attend Tottenham Police Station and make a false claim, which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.
PC Ghalayini entered a not guilty plea for all of the above offences.

On 29 September 2022 following a trial at Southwark Crown Court, PC Ghalayini was subsequently convicted of theft and of committing an act / series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.

On 31 October 2022 PC Ghalayini was sentenced to 22 months’ imprisonment. He was ordered to pay £3000 costs and a victim surcharge of £156

PC Daniel Babbs

On the 26 July 2022 Former PC Babbs attended Guildford Magistrates’ Court and entered a guilty plea to the following charges;

Making 37 indecent photographs of children of Category A, B and C nature, contrary to the Protection of Children act 1978 s.1 (a)
Possessing 87 prohibited images of children, Contrary to the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 s.62 (1).
On the 13 October 2022 he was sentenced to a six month custodial sentence, suspended for 18 months. He was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for seven years and a notification order for 10 years. He was also required to perform 150 hours’ of unpaid work and pay £425 in costs.

PC Andrew Adams

On 21 September 2022 at Chelmsford Crown Court, former PC Adams was tried and convicted for attempted voyeurism contrary to Section 67(3) and (5) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Former PC Adams was subsequently sentenced to a nine month community order and 150 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay compensation of £750 to the victims, CPS costs of £3500 and a victim surcharge of £90.

Sgt Bridgewater

On 26th August 2022, whilst off duty driving his personal vehicle Police Sergeant 20671 Bridgewater drove whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol.
On 13.09.2022, Police Sergeant Bridgewater pleaded guilty at court to driving with excess alcohol and was dealt with by way of a 27 month disqualification from driving and a fine.

SC Faran Hanson

On 20th of July 2022 the officer was convicted at Leeds Magistrates Court of 3 offences under the Communications Act 2003. These related to him sending unwanted grossly offensive or indecent sexually explicit images of himself via snap chat to 2 female colleagues and a member of the public.

PC Stephen Knott

PC Knott was dispatched to an incident involving a purported abandoned vehicle. PC Knott attended the incident and was caught taking a ten-pound note from the vehicle.
He was arrested and subsequently charged with Theft. On 24th August 2022, PC Knott pleaded guilty to those charges at Bradford Magistrates Court

PC Jamie Negrello

Following allegations raised with police by an ex-partner in October 2020, Jamie Negrello was arrested and, after a criminal investigation was concluded, the Crown Prosecution Service made the decision to charge him with Coercive Controlling behaviour.
On 28 September 2021, Jamie Negrello attended Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to the above charge. Jamie Negrello was released on unconditional bail until 19 October 2021 for sentencing.

PC George Georgiou

In 2019 the officer was involved in an alleged incident off duty with his then partner. During the investigation it was disclosed that the officer had displayed controlling and coercive behaviour towards his partner. In August 2022 he was convicted at St Albans Crown Court and sentenced at the same court in September 2022.

PC Patrick Hurley

On 27 July 2022 at Reading Magistrates Court, PC Hurley was found guilty of:
1 Count of Assault by Beating, contrary to Sec 39 Criminal Justice Act 1988
1 Count of Using threatening/abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment alarm or distress, contrary to Sec 5 Public Order Act 1986

PC Chris McCary

On 31 March 2022, PC McCary pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage, namely that he intentionally caused damage to doors and the floor of Stoke Newington Police Station on 20 October 2021.

PC Jodie Cole

On 6 July 2022 at Colchester Magistrates Court, former PC Cole was found guilty of:

Two counts of wilfully obstructing a constable in the execution of his/her duty, contrary to Sec 89(2) Police Act 1996

SC Dominic Watson

It is alleged that between October 2019 and July 2020 his conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of his use of and access to confidential police systems. It is also alleged that on 13 April 2022, at Boston Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded guilty to five offences under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
