Special Police Constable Oliver Schwarz currently based at South East Command Unit, will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
- Discreditable conduct
- Honesty & integrity
- Authority, respect & courtesy
On the evening of 26 October 2019 whilst off duty MSC Schwarz attended a bar in London. It is alleged whilst outside the bar, MSC Schwarz used physical force against the doorman and/or caused him to apprehend the immediate use of unlawful violence. It is also alleged the MSC Schwarz was abusive to the doorman verbally and in gesture and produced his warrant card in an attempt to regain entry to the bar.
It is further alleged that on the arrival of Police, MSC Schwarz attempted to tamper with the officer’s body worn camera and refused to provide details of his supervising officer.
It is further alleged that on the 26 October 2019, 6 December 2019 and 31 January 2020 provided and maintained an untruthful account of the incident.
It is alleged that in acting in this way MSC Schwarz breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of ‘Discreditable conduct, honesty & integrity and authority, respect and courtesy’.
It is further alleged that this conduct, if proven, amounts individually or collectively to gross misconduct and is so serious as to justify dismissal.
The hearing will start on Monday 15 February 2021 and is listed for two days.
