PC Daniel Berry Has Case Dismissed

Police Constable Daniel Berry has not breached the Standards of Professional Behavior in relation to:

  • Discreditable Conduct
  • Authority, Respect and Courtesy

It was alleged that in the early hours of 26 October 2018, while off-duty with fellow MPS officers on a weekend away in Warsaw, Poland, PC Berry sexually assaulted a colleague, PC A. Five further off-duty MPS officers were on the holiday with them. The alleged sexual assault occurred in one of the two hotel apartments that the group had rented, being in a bedroom allocated to PC A in the apartment not allocated to PC Berry. PC Berry admitted to sexual contact with PC A. It was alleged that she did not consent to sexual contact.

The Panel chaired by Mr Akbar Khan, Legally Qualified Chair found the behaviour not proven and the case was dismissed.
