City Of London Sergeant To Face Misconduct Panel Over Assault Against Line Manager

Police Sergeant 13285B Scullion (‘the officer’) will appear before a Misconduct Hearing Panel being held at 21 New Street, London, EC2M 4TP on Tuesday 1st June 2021, commencing at 10am.

It is alleged that on 20th November 2019, the officer made an allegation of assault against his line manager to the Professional Standards Directorate. He provided a written witness statement detailing how he had been assaulted. CCTV footage was recovered which captured the incident and did not support his allegation.

It is alleged that by providing a false statement he breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of “Honesty and Integrity”.

It is further alleged that this conduct if proven, amounts individually or collectively to Gross Misconduct and is so serious as to justify dismissal
