It is alleged that the officer in question behaved in a matter which was oppressive and harassing towards two officers and that they failed to comply with an instruction to stop all contact with one of the officers.

Further, it is alleged that on two occasions the officer in question behaved in a manner that lacked respect and courtesy towards a colleague and breached MDP policy relating to social distancing in the workplace. Finally, it is alleged that the conduct of the officer in question cumulatively amounts to ‘discreditable conduct’.

It is further alleged that the behaviour amounts to gross misconduct.

t is alleged that between the 07/04/2021 and the 20/08/2021, PC Liam Kenny has on multiple occasions misused a Force Information System for a non-policing purpose.

It is alleged that in 2020, when PC Liam Kenny applied to Hampshire Constabulary to become a Police Officer, he failed to declare a relative on his vetting application and then again, at a subsequent vetting security interview.

It is alleged that between 12 October 2021 and 21 January 2022, the conduct of PC Jay Gorania breached the standards of professional behaviour, namely honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct.

The allegations are that on 12th October 2021, PC Gorania reported sick from work stating he was suffering severe pain in his foot/ankle and was unable to carry out work. Medical certificates were supplied by PC Gorania to certify his absence from work between 12 October 2021 and 21 January 2022 and PC Gorania did not attend for work between these dates. During this time, PC Gorania communicated with his supervisor that he was not well enough to return to work.

It is alleged that while absent from work, PC Gorania played competitively in football matches on 19 separate occasions, any of which required him to run, pivot, and exert his feet/ankle joints, and kick a football. It is also alleged he carried out work in respect of an authorised business interest which involved telephone contact with third parties and arranging and carrying out property viewings. It is alleged this was inconsistent with PC Gorania’s reported symptoms and/or explanations as to why he could not carry out his policing role.

It is alleged that between 12 October 2021 and 21 January 2022, the conduct of PC Jay Gorania breached the standards of professional behaviour, namely honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct.

The allegations are that on 12th October 2021, PC Gorania reported sick from work stating he was suffering severe pain in his foot/ankle and was unable to carry out work. Medical certificates were supplied by PC Gorania to certify his absence from work between 12 October 2021 and 21 January 2022 and PC Gorania did not attend for work between these dates.
