On 7 June 2020, PC Mitchell Sharp failed to act with authority, respect and courtesy, and acted in a manner that brought discredit upon the police service, in that he sexually assaulted Person A.

Further, on the same occasion, PC Sharp  pursued an alleged juvenile shoplifter on a commandeered pedal cycle whilst drunk.

Photographed his genitals using a female colleague’s mobile phone without her knowledge or permission.

On 5 December 2019 PC Mitchell Sharp failed to act with authority, respect and courtesy, and acted in a manner that brought discredit upon the police service in that he sexually assaulted Person B. This allegation is aggravated by the fact that a week later on 13 December 2019, PC Sharp repeatedly asked Person B if he could have sex with her

PC 17209 Jack Rickard     –     Devon & Cornwall Police,

On the evening of the 12th-13th December 2019, officers attended an address in order to
investigate an alleged breach of bail conditions. A minor encountered at the address was
considered to be in breach of bail conditions. PC Rickard purported to arrest the individual in
question and began to apply handcuffs. The individual is said to have resisted arrest. PC Rickard
subsequently discharged his Taser. It is alleged that standards of professional behaviour were
breached in the following ways :-
1. The arrest in question was not conducted properly as the subject was not cautioned, searched
or given the reason for his arrest.
This being an alleged breach of the standard of professional behaviour namely: Duties and
Responsibilities.
2. Excessive force was used in deploying a Taser device and handcuffs were used
inappropriately.
This being an alleged breach of the standard of professional behaviour namely: Use of Force.
3. The officer failed to act with self-control and failed to treat the subject of the arrest and others
present with respect or courtesy. The officer also abused his power and authority.

On 5 December 2019 PC Mitchell Sharp failed to act with authority, respect and courtesy, and acted in a manner that brought discredit upon the police service in that he sexually assaulted Person B. This allegation is aggravated by the fact that a week later on 13 December 2019, PC Sharp repeatedly asked Person B if he could have sex with her

On the evening of the 12th-13th December 2019, officers attended an address in order to
investigate an alleged breach of bail conditions. A minor encountered at the address was
considered to be in breach of bail conditions. PC Rickard purported to arrest the individual in
question and began to apply handcuffs. The individual is said to have resisted arrest. PC Rickard
subsequently discharged his Taser. It is alleged that standards of professional behaviour were
breached in the following ways :-
1. The arrest in question was not conducted properly as the subject was not cautioned, searched
or given the reason for his arrest.
