PC 1178 Anthony Spiteri – West Yorkshire Police,
On 04/12/2018, whilst on duty, PC Spiteri and a colleague attended at the Edgerton Hotel in Huddersfield. The officers were responding to a ‘999’ call which had been made by the receptionist at the Edgerton Hotel who was reporting an assault and threatening behaviour by a previous guest, Mr Villa. Mr Villa was subsequently arrested and began to offer resistance. A struggle ensued which resulted in PC Spiteri taking Mr Villa to the floor in order to restrain him
In this context the Appropriate Authority allege that PC Spiteri used excessive force as follows:
a) By deliberately applying a choke hold to Mr Villa’s neck. That technique carried a high risk of serious injury and should not have been used.
b) Whether or not the initial application of the choke hold was reasonable, it was held in place for too long.
It is further alleged that It is alleged that through the said conduct, PC Spiteri failed to be diligent in the exercise of his duties and responsibilities.

PC 22331 Courtney – West Midlands,
On 15.12.2021 and 16.12.2021 whilst off duty attending a Christmas party PC Courtney made inappropriate, racist and discriminatory comments towards a female colleague who was also off duty and attending the same event which caused her to be offended and upset by his comments.
Subsequently on 28.04.2022 at Nottingham Magistrates Court PC Courtney pleaded guilty to two offences of Racially Aggravated Public Order Offences arising from his comments to his colleague for which he was fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay £200 compensation to the victim.

Former Officer 2568 Anwari – Lancashire Constabulary,
t is alleged by the Appropriate Authority that being a police officer with Lancashire Constabulary, former officer 2568 Anwari breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour set out in Schedule 2 to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.
Former officer Anwari is alleged to have manually altered a Covid-19 lateral flow test for the purposes of gaining time off work under the Covid isolation rules, he dishonestly claimed that the test (and a subsequent test taken on a Microsoft Teams meeting) was positive.

On 12th May 2021 PC Lewis submitted an application to Essex Police under the Firearms Act 1968 to obtain a Firearms Certificate.
At the time of submitting his application for a firearms certificate PC Lewis, failed to disclose his medical history and signed a Declaration to the effect that: he was aware that the answers provided on the application form were for the purposes of obtaining a Firearms Certification, the answers were true and it was an offense to knowingly or recklessly make any statement which was false for the purpose of procuring the grant of a Firearms Certificate.

PC Amelia Tilley – Northamptonshire Police,
On November 13, 2021 PC Tilley was on duty as a Response Officer attached to LRO Team 2, based at the NAB in Kettering. On that date, her specific duties were to deal with the DVSA appointments.
After attending the first appointment PC Tilley drove back to Kettering and parked close to junction 10 of the A14 near Burton Latimer.
At all material times, she knew or ought to have known that Response Officers are required to patrol visibly in order to provide reassurance to the public and in order to be available to respond dynamically to calls for assistance. Further, given the essentially dynamic nature of the LRO role, she would not work from home unless she had sought and obtained permission to do so.
PC Tilley traveled from Burton Latimer to her home address where she completed some work tasks.
An officer was deployed to the same location to carry out missing person inquiries. He contacted the Duty Sergeant, indicating that a marked police vehicle was already at the scene. Inquiries showed that PC Tilley was mapping at the location.
The Sergeant arranged for the force control room to contact PC Tilley to check on her welfare as it was suspected that she had gone home. PC Tilley contacted the Sergeant and asked why she had been contacted for a welfare check. The Sergeant asked PC Tilley for her location to which she replied ‘In Corby’. She asked ‘Where in Corby?’ and PC Tilley replied ‘parked up doing a child PPN’.
At the time PC Tilley was at her home address.

On 1st March 2022, PC Dudzinski attended Leeds Magistrates Court and entered a guilty plea to three charges of making an indecent photograph of a child and one charge of possessing an extreme pornographic image. He received an 8-month sentence, suspended for 2 years.
