On 21 August 2020, an officer sent an email to a member of staff at South Yorkshire Police, in which the officer stated that they had an appointment on the morning of the 25th August 2020, which was untrue and which they knew to be untrue.
On or around the 22 August 2020, whilst off sick from work, the officer travelled to Greece without notifying a supervisor and/or seeking authorisation or leave.
On 25 August 2020, while off sick from work and on holiday in Greece, during a phone call with the Occupational Health Unit, an officer informed the Occupational Health Unit that they were at a funeral in Belgium, which was untrue and which they knew to be untrue.

On the 14th July 2021, PC Gale, whilst off duty, assaulted a 14-year-old boy (Boy A) on Darlington Road, Richmond. In particular by pulling/dragging him off a wall, applying to him, and/or attempting on him numerous leg sweeps/kicks and caused him to fall to the ground. The assault resulted in visible injury in the form of scratches to the back of his neck and pain. On the 29th November 2021, PC Gale attended Teesside Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to the assault of Boy A. On the 17th December 2021, PC Gale attended Teesside Magistrates Court and was sentenced to a 12-month community order and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge and costs.

On 14 June 2020, whilst off duty, Special Constable Benson Wilhelm was seen damaging several cars in Chiltern Grove area of Southwark by scratching the paintwork. Special Constable Wilhelm was seen and challenged by the occupant of one of the cars and fled the scene. Special Constable Wilhelm was chased by the occupant of one vehicle and one other person, at which time Special Constable Wilhelm identified himself as a Police Officer. A police vehicle was flagged down by the members of the public and Special Constable Wilhelm was arrested
On 30 June 2021 Special Constable Wilhelm received a criminal conviction for two counts of criminal damage. Special Constable Wilhelm also received a fine of £350 and to pay compensation of £696 for the first vehicle, and a fine of £350 and to pay compensation of £500 for the second vehicle.
