Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

On 17 June 2021 whilst off duty, Special Constable (SC) Ahmed attended Bramley Golf Club, Bramley, Surrey and whilst there became involved in a verbal altercation with a member of staff. This concluded with SC Ahmed assaulting that person.

Following an investigation by Surrey Police, SC Ahmed was charged with the offence of assault by beating contrary to Section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.

On 4 March 2022, at Staines Magistrates’ Court, SC Ahmed was found guilty of the offence and ordered to pay £150 compensation.

The behaviour set out above is alleged to amount to gross misconduct and, if proven, would justify SC Ahmed’s dismissal without notice.
