Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

On 12th February 2021 Police Constable 2772 Ashton asked, ordered, or instructed a colleague to conduct searches on North Wales Police systems in relation to an event reference Y190290.
Constable Ashton viewed the contents of two events and became aware of the identity of the person reporting one of those events.
Constable Ashton informed or caused other persons outside of North Wales Police to become aware of the identity of the person reporting one of the two events referred to above.
Constable Ashton had no policing purpose for initiating the checks and failed to report his actions to a supervisor.
Constable Ashton has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Discreditable Conduct, Honesty and Integrity, Confidentiality, Orders and Instructions.
