Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

On 28 February 2021, PC Martin was on duty when he was alleged to have been involved in the assault of a detained male by punching him to the face and using abusive language towards him.

On 11 January 2022 at Westminster Magistrates Court, PC Martin plead guilty to an offence of Common Assault (Battery). He was sentenced to a curfew order for 14 weeks and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge.
