Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

Following attendance at a domestic incident in March 2020 it is alleged the officer
failed to engage the DASH process. It is also alleged the officer failed to properly
record the details of the incident. It is further alleged the officer was untruthful about
how this incident was recorded on police logs, and how this incident was recorded in
a statement made about the incident in April 2020.
2. It is also alleged on 24 and 25 March 2020 PC Farrar whilst off duty, at home, carried
out a PNC check on a member of the public for a non-policing purpose when he
knew he should not have done so.
3. It is further alleged that PC Farrar was a member of a private WhatsApp group with
other police officers. On 11 September 2020, whilst on restricted duties, PC Farrar
accessed a police log, numerous times, and communicated details of the incident
including the name of the officer injured at the scene and details of the injuries
sustained by that officer to members of the WhatsApp group.
