Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

On 20 October 2021 PC Michie was subject to a “with cause drugs test” and required to provide a sample of urine for analysis. The analysis found that the sample contained Cannabis, a class B drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

PC Michie has since resigned from the Metropolitan Police Service with his last day of service being on 5 January 2022.

The behaviour set out above is alleged to amount to gross misconduct and, if proven, would have justified former PC Michie’s dismissal had he still have been a serving officer.
