Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

ALLEGATION 1 – Alleged Facts: –
1. On 1st February 2020: –
(a) Whilst off duty you flew to Alicante airport, Spain.
(b) At Alicante airport you were arrested after an altercation with officers from the Spanish Police.
At your trial in a Spanish Court on 3rd February 2020 you were assisted by a Spanish lawyer and
an English-speaking interpreter.
Following a guilty plea, you were convicted of assaulting a Spanish Police officer.
Following your conviction, you were: –
(a) Sentenced to 4 months imprisonment suspended for 2 years.
(b) Fined €120.
(c) Ordered to pay €90 compensation to the victim.
2. When informing Devon & Cornwall Police of the circumstances leading to your conviction you
falsely said that you had been: –
(a) Denied legal advice before pleading guilty.
(b) Forced to sign trial paperwork without the assistance of an interpreter.

NOTICE OF MISCONDUCT
HEARING
Honesty & Integrity –
You breached the Standard of Professional Behaviour concerning Honesty & Integrity because
you knowingly gave a dishonest account of the circumstances leading to your conviction.
ALLEGATION 2 –
Alleged Facts:-
1. At about 00:12 on 28th May 2021 whilst off duty you were arrested in Redruth for common
assault after members of the public had identified you by name.
2. You were drunk and aggressive.
3. You were abusive to your police colleagues telling them, among other things, to “f*** off”, that
“the police are c****” and the officers were a “disgusting bunch of b*******”.
4. You referred to the person that you were alleged to have assaulted as a “t***”, a “fat trollop”
and a “f****** idiot”.
5. When you were booked into custody you were difficult and abusive towards the custody
officer.
