Circumstances of Alleged Breaches

Former Police Constable Hepworth will attend a misconduct hearing for allegedly breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to:

(a) Discreditable Conduct
(b) Orders and Instructions
(c) Duties and Responsibilities

On 30th September 2020, whilst on duty and en route to the police station Mr. Hepworth

a) utilized the blue lights and siren in the police vehicle which he was driving for no
policing purpose;

b) Travelled in excess of the speed limit;

c) Failed to comply with the red traffic lights; and

d) Was involved in a road traffic collision with another vehicle.

2. On 3rd August 2021, Mr. Hepworth was convicted of Dangerous Driving at Sheffield Crown Court.
