On the 31st July 2010, while serving in the Metropolitan Police Service, Officer X met Ms A in the course of his duty, a female who at the time was 17 years old, in order to investigate a report of theft that she had made.
On the 2nd August 2010, Officer X made contact with Ms A through social media for what were non policing purposes.

It is alleged that between Saturday 26th August 2023 and Tuesday 29th August 2023, Officer X disclosed to a number of police officers and staff; via a 999 call, in-person to uniformed police officers, and to his first line supervisor, that he had consumed magic mushrooms on Saturday 26th August 2023, which are controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001, thereby bringing discredit to the police service.
