It is alleged that the conduct of Police Constable Lynsay Watson breached the standards of professional behaviour namely honesty and integrity; authority, respect and courtesy; orders and instructions; and discreditable conduct.
The allegations relate to posts allegedly made by PC Watson when off-duty, on a number of accounts on social media platform Twitter over several months during 2022. It is alleged the content of the posts made were derogatory and/or abusive. PC Watson was identified as a police officer on the different accounts used.
When later challenged on social media regarding being the person operating the accounts, it is further alleged that PC Watson provided false information on the Twitter accounts to conceal their identit
